Tibet Film Festival

Are there Tibetan films? Yes, there are – lots of them!

Dear Tibet Friends, Film Lovers and Short Film Enthusiasts,

For the third year running, the 2-day Tibet Film Festival will show films made by Tibetans in recent years. Thanks to the positive response we received from last year, we are once again running the Short Film Competition for Tibetans. We invite professionals as well as amateurs to submit a short film on the theme of “Mother”. The best works will of course receive awards!

We are particularly excited about our partnership with “Students for a Free Tibet India”. The Festival will be taking place with the same programme in Dharamsala (India).

Save the date, the last weekend of October, when it will once again be time for the Tibet Film Festival!

The Festival is a collaboration between Filming for Tibet and the Tibetan Youth Association in Europe (TYAE). The event is dedicated to the imprisoned filmmaker Dhondup Wangchen.
